Patient Information day for people with inherited heart rhythm conditions (Long QT Syndrome and Brugada Syndrome)

On the 26th January 2010, an information day was held for patients and families with inherited heart rhythm conditions, specifically Long QT Syndrome and Brugada Syndrome. The idea behind the day was to give people a chance to find out more information about the two conditions and an opportunity to meet and share their experiences with other people in a similar situation. We had good feedback on the day and hope to organise further meetings, perhaps on an annual basis. We also wanted to broach the idea of setting up a patient led support group, who could in the future take over the organisation and running of such meetings. Any feedback or suggestions on this matter would be gratefully received.
