International Partners

Together A-A partners work for a united approach for greater impact for change and awareness of arrhythmias on an international scale. The concept of establishing A-A models around the world is not to enforce similar practice upon other countries, but to show how global collaboration can improve arrhythmia services, share best medical practices and methods, and ultimately, life for the individual cardiac arrhythmia patient.

 

A-A Argentina - Pronetac

Arrhythmia Alliance Argentina through the Pronetac Foundation has recently been established in Buenos Aires with their ‘Campaign for the Prevention of Sudden Death’ to promote the global mission of A-A in promoting better understanding, diagnosis, treatment and quality of life for individuals with cardiac arrhythmias.

A-A China


Arrhythmia Alliance China is soon to be established in collaboration with cardiologists from The People’s Hospital in Beijing. Translations of Arrhythmia Alliance patient booklets will soon be available on the A-A website.

A-A Czech Republic - Rytmus Srdce


“Rytmus Srdce” translated to ‘Heart Rhythm’ established in the Czech Republic 14 July 2009 as the newest addition to the international organization of Arrhythmia Alliance. The goals of Rytmus Srdce are to educate the public and health professionals about arrhythmias. Rytmus Srdce is planning their first Patient Day for February 2010. Their website is in progress and will be up and running soon.

A-A Italy - Alleanza Nazionale contro le Aritmie (ANA)

Arrhythmia Alliance Italy has been established in November 2009 as‘Alleanza Nazionale contro le Aritmie (ANA), translated to National Alliance Against Arrhythmias. They are working to increase education with regards to the causes, diagnosis, therapy and prevention of cardiac arrhythmias and to promote a better understanding and awareness and quality of life for patients with cardiac arrhythmias.

A-A Japan - Health Policy Institute



Arrhythmia Alliance Japan celebrated World Heart Rhythm Week 2009 with the launch of their new website. Their partnership to A-A through The Health Policy Institute of Japan has provided a platform for advocacy (Commission on Citizens and Health) and leadership in providing awareness and education on arrhythmias.

A-A Portugal - Bate Bate Coracao

Arrhythmia Alliance Portugal has been officially established in December 2009 through the national Portuguese organization and national campaign, ‘Bate bate coracao – sinta o seu ritmo' translated to ‘Beat beat of your heart – feel the rhythm'.

A-A Sweden


Arrhythmia Alliance Sweden Conference

The recognition of Arrhythmia Alliance Sweden as part of the International Organization of Arrhythmia Alliance took place in London during a Parliamentary Reception at the House of Commons on 8th June for Arrhythmia Awareness Week in conjunction with World Heart Rhythm Week 8 - 14 June 2009 . The launch was formally introduced by Prof. A. John Camm, President of Arrhythmia Alliance, who gave credit to Dr. Fahreaus for contributions to arrhythmia services in Europe while inspiring other countries to establish similar A-A models.

South Africa - PACE (Prevent Arrhythmia Cardiac Events)


A-A Partner, PACE, embarked on a national ‘Know Your Pulse’ campaign during World Heart Rhythm Week 2009 in collaboration with Click Pharmacy in S. Africa. The pharmacy chain distributed ‘Know Your Pulse’ check cards and engaged the public to learn how to take their pulse through quizzes, stickers, and prizes.
