Join the Know Your Pulse Global Campaign
The Know Your Pulse campaign raises public and medical awareness of the pulse as one of the easiest ways to detect what can be potentially fatal cardiac arrhythmias. A-A is highlighting the importance of regular pulse checks during normal patient check-ups, to promote early diagnosis of heart rhythm disorders.
Why?
- One European dies every minute of Sudden Cardiac Death
- Cardiac arrhythmia is one of the leading causes of death in the world
- Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) kills more people each year than breast cancer, lung cancer, stroke and AIDS combined
- 40% of people will experience syncope at least once in a lifetime
- Atrial Fibrillation (AF) is the most common heart rhythm disorder affecting millions of people worldwide
