Grown Up Congenital Heart Patients Association (GUCH) - www.guch.org.uk
GUCH stands for Grown-Up Congenital Heart disease. We are a national charity to support patients born with complex heart conditions who have survived into adulthood. Thirty years ago only 15% would have become adults. Thanks to medical advances 80-85% now survive. The increase in the GUCH population will continue but the medical expertise has not kept up with their needs and it has not matched the care they received as infants and children.
