Don't miss your regional meeting – register FREE!
We are very pleased to announce six English Regional meetings to consider the developments since the launch of the CHD NSF for Arrhythmias and Sudden Cardiac Death, and to recognise and celebrate good practice.  The Arrhythmia Alliance will organise and host these meetings, which are supported by the Department of Health Heart Team and the Heart Improvement Programme.
We propose to complete the Regional meetings by March 2006 – the first anniversary of the publication of the NSF for Arrhythmias and Sudden Cardiac Death Chapter.  We hope they will start to highlight pockets of best practice from around the UK so we can propagate these lessons locally.  Subsequently, we hope that the very best services and models will then be showcased at the three-day UK Heart Rhythm Congress 2006 on the 19-21 September, with prizes for the top three Regional teams.
The events will consist mainly of clinical updates and workshops underpinned by the Quality Standards as set out in the new NSF chapter. They will provide an opportunity to focus on further developments, including those for specific vulnerable groups, and on how consistent clinical care-pathways might be developed.  We hope to bring together interested regional experts in heart rhythm management and key leaders, such as cardiac networks, senior and junior clinicians, nurses working in (or considering) specialist nursing, commissioners and patient groups.  We are approaching heart rhythm experts from each region to speak on various topics from the NSF.  If you would like to see a draft agenda, please contact the Arrhythmia Alliance.
We warmly invite you to attend these important meetings.  Please email arrhythmiaalliance@stars.org.uk as soon as possible, indicating which meeting you would like to attend.
Here is the schedule of meetings:
